Kaylee Williams is a theatrical design student with hands-on experience in lighting, scenic construction, and painting. She has worked extensively in technical theatre since high school, contributing to lighting operation, set construction, and scenic painting across multiple productions. Her experience includes roles in stage management, assistant technical direction, and serving as a technical director for youth theatre programs. She currently continues to develop her skills at Lafayette College as a lighting technician and production assistant, collaborating closely with designers and technical directors on a wide range of performances and events.

City of Fairfax Theatre Company
During three summers with the City of Fairfax Theatre Company, Kaylee Williams built a strong foundation in technical theatre through hands-on work in set construction, scenic painting, and props. Advancing to Assistant Technical Director and then Technical Director, she helped design and build productions, oversaw technical execution, and led workshops introducing students to core technical theatre skills. Her work emphasized collaboration and problem-solving, with experience managing builds, running crews, and supporting productions from load-in through strike.
Lighting Technician/Light Board Operator

As a Lighting Technician, Kaylee Williams works closely with designers and production teams to program, operate, and maintain lighting systems for theatre, concerts, and campus events. She has experience running the lighting board, setting up and focusing instruments, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across productions.

As a Production Assistant, Kaylee Williams supports all aspects of the production process, working closely with the Technical Director on set construction and scenic painting. Her role involves hands-on work during builds and load-ins, as well as assisting with day-to-day technical needs to ensure productions run smoothly and efficiently.
